Frequently asked questions
How do I know if my website uses TYPO3 12?
The checker looks for the generator meta tag, /typo3temp/ and /typo3conf/ assets and the fe_typo_user cookie. Recent TYPO3 versions hide their exact version.
Is it dangerous to keep using TYPO3 12 after support ends?
Without support, new vulnerabilities are not officially fixed, so the risk grows over time. It does not mean the site is compromised today.
How do I update TYPO3?
TYPO3 upgrades are done with Composer and the Install Tool; extensions and templates must be compatible with the target version.
